Some words for visitors...

The congregation of Holy Lady of. Vladimir Mission Station in St. John's NL would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone in St. John's to join is in celebrating the Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings at 10:00.

Holy Lady of Vladimir Mission Station began in 2003 with a largely Russian Orthodox congregation. Since then it has become quite possibly the most multicultural organisation in the City of St. John's! The current congregation is made up of Orthodox Christians of Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Moldavian, Egyptian, and Greek ethnicity. We would like to welcome all Orthodox Christians to rediscover your faith in our community. Regardless of your ethnic background, we hope to make you feel at home in our diverse and inclusive community.

Our community also includes a growing number of individuals from various western traditions. Our small congregation of slightly more than 20 families includes Canadians, Americans, and Britons who were all attracted to Orthodoxy's belief in ancient traditions and Holy Scripture.

Orthodox Christians hold the traditions handed down to them by the apostles, and church fathers dearly. Orthodoxy is sometimes referred to as the ancient faith, or original Christianity. Anyone who wishes to experience Christianity, as it was experienced in the early church, are always welcomed by our community.  We do request that Non-Orthodox visitors respect the traditions of the church and refrain from receiving Holy Communion.
